Choice Home Warranty offers existing homeowners two plans, each of which cover a mix of systems and appliances. The primary difference between its Total plan and its Basic plan is that refrigerators, washers and dryers, and air conditioning systems are not included in the Basic Plan. We requested a quote for a single family home of less than 5000 square feet in a small midwestern city. The premium for Choice Home Warranty's Basic was $47.85 per month and the premium for its Total pan was $54.95 per month. With the cost difference between the two plans being only about $7 per month, to our mind, the Total plan a better value overall because it includes coverage for three of the most common appliances: refrigerators, washers, and dryers. It also includes coverage for air conditioning systems.

The company's co-pay for a service call is $85, slightly less than most comparable companies. The co-pay may be reduced further with special discounts and promotions.

Cancellation Policy

The contract shall be non-cancelable by the company except for nonpayment of contract fees or service fees, fraud or misrepresentation of facts by the customer, or by agreement between client and company. Customers may cancel within the first 30 days of the order date for a full refund of the paid contract fees. If canceled after 30 days, the customer shall be entitled to a pro rata refund of the paid contract fee for the unexpired term, less a $50 administrative fee and any service costs incurred by the company.

Jim from County Refrigeration Services arrived on time and troubleshot our LG Refrigerator. He ruled out any impending fan failure and told us how to do a partial defrost without removing anything from the refrigerator. We followed his instructions that evening and the fan noise went away. We want County Refrigeration Services for any future LG Refrigerator problems.

CHW got a pool company to come out within in four days considering it was Thanksgiving weekend this was awesome. Also when the tech arrived he was very polite and explained what needed to be done in order for the work to be completely and correctly done. From calling in my claim to having the work completed it was a good experience and I now know since this was the first claim I have filed with CHW I am glad that I purchased my home and pool warranty with them.

My dishwasher went up and you made and offer to pay me 179.00. I refused the offer and then Ms. Rogers called to discussed option. I was told to either take her offer of 300.00 or cancel my subscription with Choice. After i agreed to accept the 300.00, she then told me it would take 20 day for me to get the check. This is poor service. I'm expected to wait 20 days before i can purchase another dishwasher. We are elderly and need our dishwasher. My opinion of how this company treats its customers is not professional.

I contacted CHW on a Sunday afternoon after my burner on my stove stopped working. Within an hour after contacting CHW I received a text and email with the name of the repair company that would be contacting me. Shortly after that the repair company contacted me with a schedule time of Monday between 7 a.m. and 11 a.m. on Monday the repair company arrived at 10 a.m.. the service tech evaluated my stove burner and discovered the burner and the switch needed to be repaired. The repairman told me that the burner and switch had to be ordered and I am currently waiting for it to come in and be installed.
