Their plans offer protection against the cost of repair or replacement of major systems and appliances in the home via several plans. Choice Home Warranty offers existing homeowners two plans, each of which cover a mix of systems and appliances. The primary difference between its Total plan and its Basic plan is that refrigerators, washers and dryers, and air conditioning systems are not included in the Basic Plan. Optional coverage for such items as pools and spas, well pumps, and septic systems is available for an additional fee. We requested a quote for a single family home of less than 5000 square feet in a small midwestern city. The premium for Choice Home Warranty's Basic was $47.85 per month and the premium for its Total pan was $54.95 per month. With the cost difference between the two plans being only about $7 per month, to our mind, the Total plan a better value overall because it includes coverage for three of the most common appliances: refrigerators, washers, and dryers. It also includes coverage for air conditioning systems.

The company's co-pay for a service call is $85, slightly less than most comparable companies. The co-pay may be reduced further with special discounts and promotions.

Cancellation Policy

The contract shall be non-cancelable by the company except for nonpayment of contract fees or service fees, fraud or misrepresentation of facts by the customer, or by agreement between client and company. Customers may cancel within the first 30 days of the order date for a full refund of the paid contract fees. If canceled after 30 days, the customer shall be entitled to a pro rata refund of the paid contract fee for the unexpired term, less a $50 administrative fee and any service costs incurred by the company.

I am dissapointed. I put in my claim 8 days ago and they have not sent anyone out to the house to fix my washing machine.

I was very happy with the quick response. I was able to get the issue resolved quickly. However, when the repair was completed, the panels and the ceiling tiles that were removed were not put back. I was told by the supervisor that someone will be coming by next week to re-install the panels and the ceiling tiles. Until that done, I cannot put back and use the dryer and washer that were moved to repair the leaks.

After a miscommunication Choice took care of our plumbing issue and sent out a very good sub contractor to resolve it. I would highly recommend Choice.

I’m very happy that I have choice warranty. I have needed service on three different occasions for different issues and each time my claim was very quickly addressed and resolved in 24 hours or less. I have the ultimate contract and it’s already paid for itself! I highly recommend Choice warranty

Todd was very knowledgeable and helpful. We slept with Comfort knowing the problem was fixed. Mr. Todd even suggested planned maintenance processes. He ensured we had everything we needed before he left.

Had two visits from Ava's AC (Choice HW) for AC not cooling. First visit (June 30) found I was 2 lbs low on Freon but could not find leak. 2nd visit (July 14) found us low again and this time found the leak in the coil. Ava's tried to sell us a whole different AC system from the one we had. Choice said that because we were still under warranty the manufacturer handles all parts replacement but that they do not cover labor. $150 in the hole and now I am paying for another company to do the repair. I have been informed that other Home Warranty companies would cover the labor. I am currently checking and will probably drop Choice and ask for a refund.
