Choice Home Warranty is a New Jersey-based company founded in 2008 which offers services contracts. Their plans offer protection against the cost of repair or replacement of major systems and appliances in the home via several plans. Each plan also offers optional coverage for septic systems, pools /spas, well pumps, sump pumps, central vacuuming systems, limited roof leaks, second refrigerators, and standalone freezers.

I paid to have my pool covered and they won't fix the control panel.

Their rating starts at “good” … not at “poor”.
Bought the policy for “$62.something” haven’t received the policy number yet, and trying to cancel it… my advice to others…look before you leap!
First time ever the DISPATCHER called ME... w/ update and we shared the best city's nearby for other techs... Got a great guy, clean, efficient, knew his stuff, foto of appliance label, and returned w/ correct part and installed. I'll have this person again. Excellent service for the repair.
This company is a complete disaster. 1. They only have "AI Chat" to work through, and you CANNOT reach a human. They allow you "escalate" the issue, but a "human" responds to you with an email that says please send us a message reply. That goes nowhere. THEN, if you try again with the "AI chat", it tells you to call a phone number "for a personal touch". If you call? It puts you in the queue, and says "We'll call you back when the next agent is available." Yeah.... it's been 5 days and I'm still waiting. I QUESTION IF ANY HUMANS ACTUALLY WORK THERE!?! 2. A-1 Plumbing were great! They responded the same day and were here right on time. Both Shaun and Reece are friendly and professional. Reinstalled a garbage disposal, which unfortunately Choice did NOT cover, and cleared the obstruction to my kitchen drain. I would use them again, but had to pay $175.00 for the disposal and labor. Not satisfied with Choice in this matter.
My Plumber found an issue with my feed lines while addressing the main concern (which was my faucet). His recommendation was to replace them (for$20) to prevent a problem down the road which would cost me considerably more. CHW would NOT cover the $20 for these parts!! Furthermore, at that point, they were supposed to re-imburse me $130 but short-changed me by $5 and only gave me $125. Wow!!!! talk about nickel and diming people. At least give me the full $130 which is what I deserve. I tried to connect via a chat but only got an AI robot who could not do math!!! Not good CHW, not good.
