Over $2,000 in unpaid claims. I canceled all three policies.
Lemonade pet insurance was truly terrible to work with. I insured three pets with them, and they paid only one of the five claims I submitted. I was left with over $2,000 in unpaid claims, on top of everything I paid in premiums that year.
They denied Snoopy’s claim because it was submitted more than 180 days after treatment. I asked for a one-time exception, and they refused. I have pets insured with Embrace, which gives me the policy term plus 60 days to file. Lemonade’s deadline was an expensive lesson to learn.
