JUST SAY NO!!! Due to our experience with this company and their poorly trained staff and how difficult they are to work with; I am getting a NO SOLICITING sign for my home! We gave them a chance in good faith and they made it near impossible to do business and have wasted TOO MUCH of OUR TIME!!!

We’re very pleased with the technition and the service he provided during his initial visit to our home. He was courteous and friendly and knowledgeable. I would recommend Aptive Pest Control Services to anyone who is interested.
This company charges a monthly fee to come to your home, and the service lasts 10 minutes. The first service is excellent. Subsequent services are ineffective and take less than 10 minutes. Sometimes they don't come and charge you. I had to call to demand that they come, and they did because I have cameras and could prove they didn't come. And if you cancel the service, they'll charge you a $200 fine. Be careful. BAD SERVICE, terrible company.
I know you're based out of Utah & have branches all over. Your website says: "Since 2015, Aptive has made neighborhoods more enjoyable, one home at a time." I live in the Twin Cities suburbs of MN and the people trying to sell Aptive here are pushy and rude. They don't take no for an answer, keep coming back multiple times per season despite being told people aren't interested, and they ignore No soliciting signs. The neighborhood FB page is full of complaints. They don't just ring a doorbell/knock, they literally pound on the door... right above no soliciting signs. Started out good but after a few months the spraying for insects and monitoring the rat bait boxes all but stopped, everything ants, bugs, rats, mice all came back, they would show up and be gone in 10 minutes.
Pressure sold my wife on a 3 month test run, turned out to be a year contract that’s unbreakable minus the $200 fee. She swears the salesman told her it was quarterly for 59.95 however that’s the monthly charge. Oh, and we still have all the normal outdoor bugs, ants seem to have gotten worse!
Tempted to block the charges and let it go to collections, horrible company, horrible product. Avoid at all cost.
Stop knocking on peoples’ doors and referencing our neighbors who actually do not use your service. If we want your service, we will contact you.
Just left a young 20 year old door-to-door cold call salesman who desperately wanted to lock me into a deal which after a little due diligence is quite similar to what I see below from thoroughly disappointed customers. Their bottom line recommendation "don't use this company" is codespeak for DON'T SIGN UP FOR THIS COMPANY! This pushy saleskid simply did not want to take "NO" for an answer nor give me the opportunity to do independent due diligence research & competitive shopping. I regret ever signing up with Aptive. After canceling my service and getting both email and verbal confirmation, the technician still showed up my house anyway. I even texted the technician directly, but instead of acknowledging my request, he ignored me and instead replied that the service was done and which areas he focused on. Meanwhile, my daughter called me in a panic because a stranger was walking around our house. That was the last straw. I immediately requested to terminate the contract as it became a safety issue, but Aptive still hit me with the full $199 cancellation fee—taking zero responsibility for how unsafe the whole situation made us feel and why we were terminating . We originally signed up for Aptive in 2018 as a safer alternative to other pest control services. The price was decent for the time and seemed like a great option. At first we didn't see much of an improvement in ants, spiders, beetles, or much else. We gave it another chance and after the 2nd application it seemed like it was finally working. We kept service up for a year, decided to take a break and then restarted in 2023 after noticing an uptick in various species of ants and many other pests including mice, rats, and more. Lies, Lies, Lies! Hard pressure sale with lies. 1 all your neighbors have joined, Lie! 2 It will only cost you $300/year if you sign a 2 year contract, Lie! The cost is $200/month with a minimum of $2400.00 over 2 years, and they don't kill the bugs. Mosquitoes got so much worse. The only thing they killed were bees and butterflies. Absolutely no value for the money spent. Horrible customer service with no care or concern for how the service was sold and the lies the salesman told. They deserve zero stars. Big cancellation fee, $200 Just slam the door when they come.
I agree to try this service for 99.00 every month for a couple of months and then after that every other month. Imagine my surprise when I found out they were charging me 159.00 a month. This was only for the outside of my house. I canceled today and they charged 199.00 to do that. They did not give me what they told me. Please do not get service through them. They will take advantage of you!!!

Hired Active to treat yard and inside for pest control The first few treatments went fine both inside and the yard. Their one service tech "Drake" does an excellent job. However experiences with their other techs are less than satisfactory. They literally do the minimum and I have caught them not treating the yard and only doing a quick walk around the perimeter of the house to treat the 1 acre lot. From ringing the doorbell to "treating" my yard and leaving was literally 10 minutes. It's recorded on the Ring Camera. And showing up at 7:15pm when I've literally waited all day for the "treatment" is not acceptable. This has happened in the past with other techs from Aptive. Sorry... Read More
Promises to perform pest control at reasonable prices. We have a large area that was discussed being treated and the technician twice performed their services in less than 20 minutes. First, "initial" treatment was ineffective, and we ended up treating the area ourselves with much better results. Second treatment was 25 minutes. Decided to cancel after the minimal effort to treat the entire area.
Was charged for discontinuing services based on the contract. Would not recommend their services.
This company is horrible to deal with. They told me I was signing up for inside and outside treatments but the technicians that have showed up say they are not qualified to do in house treatments. They also randomly schedule appointments and then rarely show up for that appointment while you have been left waiting all day. Then when you go to cancel your contract, they want to charge you $199 when they are not providing the services they said I was signing up for. Completely terrible company
All they want is your money and nothing else. Very hard to cancel the subscription and when you give them permission to charge your card, if it is at the limit they just bill you without telling you. When you call and say that you are going through financial hardships they just say in order to do anything about cancelling you must pay now. Very poor customer service.
Absolutely Horrendous! Lying sales reps sign people on contracts and dont disclose any information. Then want to double charge and then a $199.oo cancelation fee. Biggest scam in pest control.
I just cancelled my subscription after receiving 2 treatments and they made me pay $199 to cancel. They offered to give me a stronger solution with my treatments but I think they should do that right away. They also offered multiple discounts when I called to cancel, but I refused. Read the contract because eventhough the guy who sold me the subscription said it would cost me $100 to cancel if I didn't complete the 12 month package, they said the contract says otherwise. When they come to your door to solicit, say NO THANK YOU. Salesman does not give full story about the cost.
When they come to your door to solicit you, just save yourself a lot of future grief by saying , no thank you, and shut the door.
I can't say anything bad about this company. They show up when they say, do their job, and if there were any bugs, there isn't any now.
I was driving on the toll road westbound, adjacent to the 91 this morning around 7:45am. I was following one of your trucks, CA Plate: 64736M3. He was driving approximately 65 mph. I moved to pass him as I was traveling approximately 75 mph. Your driver sped up, attempting to prevent the pass. I completed the pass and the driver was following very, very closely. I sped up to approximately 80 mph and the van then tried to pass me. When the van’s passenger door was parallel to th front bumper of my car, the driver sharply cut into my lane of traffic.
