Their plans offer protection against the cost of repair or replacement of major systems and appliances in the home via several plans. Choice Home Warranty offers existing homeowners two plans, each of which cover a mix of systems and appliances. The primary difference between its Total plan and its Basic plan is that refrigerators, washers and dryers, and air conditioning systems are not included in the Basic Plan. Optional coverage for such items as pools and spas, well pumps, and septic systems is available for an additional fee. The company states that, in any case, its total liability for any single item is capped at $3000, but lower limits do apply to some covered items.

We requested a quote for a single family home of less than 5000 square feet in a small midwestern city. The premium for Choice Home Warranty's Basic was $47.85 per month and the premium for its Total pan was $54.95 per month. With the cost difference between the two plans being only about $7 per month, to our mind, the Total plan a better value overall because it includes coverage for three of the most common appliances: refrigerators, washers, and dryers. It also includes coverage for air conditioning systems.

The company's co-pay for a service call is $85, slightly less than most comparable companies. The co-pay may be reduced further with special discounts and promotions.

Cancellation Policy

The contract shall be non-cancelable by the company except for nonpayment of contract fees or service fees, fraud or misrepresentation of facts by the customer, or by agreement between client and company. Customers may cancel within the first 30 days of the order date for a full refund of the paid contract fees. If canceled after 30 days, the customer shall be entitled to a pro rata refund of the paid contract fee for the unexpired term, less a $50 administrative fee and any service costs incurred by the company.

Phone reps are nice, but process is horrible. Had a no heat situation with 4 degrees out and they were not to concerned about expediting a service call. stated 24 to 48 hours.

I really love the customer service that choice home warranty provides . The only thing that i like to give feed back is the referral program it’s not up to date in my policy i refer my brother and my son and I haven’t got anything from that program . I’ll give you guys 4 stars thank you

some home warranties are very good, Choice Home Warranty is NOT ONE! a lot of hidden and if's and buts! They seem to have vaguely written contacts, and they will use it against YOU! Find another company, my contact with Choice ends 07/2018 , I will not be renewing with Choice Home Warranty! Have two friends would have canceled their contacts with Choice Home Warranty!

I was told that my policy couldn't be utilized in the first thirty days to ensure it wasn't a pre-existing condition. Two months after I paid for the coverage my heat went out. It's a $300 repair... They declined coverage saying it was obviously starting to fail prior to purchase. I had coverage before through Old Republic and decided to change. I've used Old Republic on every home I've owned (18) and never had an issue. Choice Home Warranty, to me appears to be a complete scam!!! Rep who took my Service Call rushed me off the phone. I had questions, once I was given claim #, she abruptly dropped the call; I had another Question to ask. I understand temperatures are frigid & they are very busy, but our home is like the outdoors , 30 degrees . Wanted to ask if they could possibly try to expedite as much as possible.

I think you’re advertising is over rated to say the least. I won’t be buying your warranty again. Very disappointed! I will write the BBB to tell them about 3 different times I have called it has always taken over 24 hrs for someone to get my case number. Right now I put in a claim at 5 pm and no one has responded or received my case yet! My heater stopped working, it is 20 something degrees out and no one has picked up our work order as of yet.
