Choice Home Warranty offers existing homeowners two plans, each of which cover a mix of systems and appliances. The primary difference between its Total plan and its Basic plan is that refrigerators, washers and dryers, and air conditioning systems are not included in the Basic Plan. Optional coverage for such items as pools and spas, well pumps, and septic systems is available for an additional fee. We requested a quote for a single family home of less than 5000 square feet in a small midwestern city. The premium for Choice Home Warranty's Basic was $47.85 per month and the premium for its Total pan was $54.95 per month. With the cost difference between the two plans being only about $7 per month, to our mind, the Total plan a better value overall because it includes coverage for three of the most common appliances: refrigerators, washers, and dryers. It also includes coverage for air conditioning systems.

The company's co-pay for a service call is $85, slightly less than most comparable companies. The co-pay may be reduced further with special discounts and promotions.

Cancellation Policy

The contract shall be non-cancelable by the company except for nonpayment of contract fees or service fees, fraud or misrepresentation of facts by the customer, or by agreement between client and company. Customers may cancel within the first 30 days of the order date for a full refund of the paid contract fees. If canceled after 30 days, the customer shall be entitled to a pro rata refund of the paid contract fee for the unexpired term, less a $50 administrative fee and any service costs incurred by the company.

Within 24 hours of our request, Choice Warranty responded. A technician then called to schedule the visit. He was friendly, helpful and knowledgable. As result, he was able to resolve the problem with our washer, almost immediately.

We chose Choice Home Warranty because of the cost. We were not disappointed when one of our appliances needed to be repaired. They were very prompt and efficient in sending out a repair tech. He had the problem solved and the washer repaired. The only drawback was having to wait for the parts. It took 2 weeks because they were difficult to locate. Other than that, we have no complaints. Eventually the washer had to be replaced because it could no longer be repaired and we were compensated very quickly. I would definitely recommend this company to anyone who would like to have peace of mind knowing their whole house is taken care of.

I CALLED CHOICE TO LET THEM KNOW THAT I HAD A PROBLEM WITH MY LEAKING TOILET AND THEY WERE SUPER NICE AND AND DID A GREAT JOB IN GETTING SOMEONE OVER HERE TO FIX THE PROBLEM FOR ME. THE SERVICE MAN TIM AT BOHANNONS SERVICE WAS FANTASTIC. VERY HAPPY. THANKYOU CHOICE. NICK.

It was easy to present my claim to you and I appreciate your prompt response and service. Unfortunately, your contract does not cover the repairs needed to fix my air conditioner. I have, therefore, replaced it with a new unit using my own funds.

I had a washer that when out and I was told the best they could give me to replace the washer was 299 or I could decline the offer and they would have someone look at it again to replace the washer instead of taking a cash offer. The case manager still tried only offering me 350 but was then said the best he could do was 400. Because he seen one on eBay for that price. I asked him if he looked in my area and only replied about the one on eBay. So all he could do was give me 400 and I won’t get that for 20 days from today. Technician supposed to be there Wed night 5:15-8 PM Called 8:15 stating emergency. Our folks had to cancel an evening commitment waiting. We texted owner requesting for an eaarly AM appt Thursday then called to confirm at 9AM now he said would be there by 11 when he wasn't there texted again and he stated he would be there 1 -2:15. no show, folks had to again cancel plans. We called CHW and were told CHW would follow up. When CHW called no answer. We asked for the $45 fee be waived which CHW agreed to.
