Norton Family Premier offers a good parental control app package that focuses on desktop web browsing, mobile device web browsing and app usage. The product's dashboard is particularly easy to use, and parents can connect unlimited PCs, smartphones, and mobile devices. There is also no limit on the number of children that can be added to the account. On the downside, the service does not provide the most comprehensive social media monitoring. Although it works on iOS devices, it is not MacOS compatible.

Norton Family Premier offers a solid set of features for its price. Parents can set customized filters for web activity, blocking certain sites and allowing others. Norton offers standard usage controls which feature access scheduling and app and website blocking. In terms of monitoring, Norton allows parents to see full-text message chains and set limits on who kids can text. The company also provides detailed reports of all web and app activity directly to the parent's inbox.

When it comes to social media monitoring, Norton does not deliver the scope of services some other comparable providers do. Norton can only monitor Facebook and YouTube and does not get very much into the details of the child's activity. With Facebook, parents can only see how often and how long their child is active, in addition to their name and age. Regarding YouTube, parents can opt to see snippets of the videos their children are watching.

In 2019, Norton launched Norton 360 with LifeLock Identity Theft Protection, a suite of products which bundles Norton Family Premier with several of the company's other services. In addition to parental controls, Norton 360 includes VPN, anti-virus protection, password manager, and LifeLock ID theft prevention features. Customers can buy Norton Family Premier as a standalone product, or together with Norton 360.

This is untrue. My Norton VPN TURNS OFF ALL THE TIME leaving my phone unprotected. I bought Norton 360 deluxe. But have spot checked it only to find it not working and turning it back on manually. You should replace a damaged system such as mine. Otherwise these are just words. Worth absolutely nothing.

This is the worst software I ever could have imagined. The interface is counter intuitive, the installation is a nightmare, and the customer support is horrific! If you decide to go down this rabbit hole, be prepared to spend hours on hold.

Bark is good for keeping up with all social media apps, but Norton always me to restrict, lock or schedule media use.
