2 YEARS AGO, MY MOTHER REQUESTED A HOME INSURANCE QUOTE AND SINCE THEN THEY SOMEHOW CREATED A PLAN FOR HER, HAVE NOT BEEN SENDING ANY BILLS TO HER. SHE JUST RECIEVED A RENEWEL LETTER WHICH WAS CONFUSING BECAUSE SHE NEVER SIGNED UP IN WRITING NOT GAVCE A VERBAL CONSENT FOR THERE SERVICES. THEY ALSO ADDED THE BALANCE THE CLAIMED SHE OWE TO HER MORTAGE WHICH INCREASED HER MORTAGE EVERY MONTH. THEY NEED TO CONTACT HER OR MYSELF TO GET THIS CORRECTED OR SHE WILL HAVE TO BE FORCED TO START LEGAL ACTIONS.

Safeco/ Liberty Mutual Home Insurance review We have homeowners Insurance with Safeco and have for decades. We have never had a claim. We just received a rate increase of 75% as of 07/2024 from 06/2024. This rate increase is ridiculous to pass onto us. I knew rates were said to increase but this is unacceptable, especially for a homeowner who has never had a claim. Our rate jumped from $1,875.00 per year to $3,279.00 per year. We used to stand by recommending Safeco but no longer. We will be shopping around on this one. Unbelievable. Sure, wish I could give you zero stars. Sign Anchorage Alaska Customer 07/2024

Not sure how why iberty Mutual Insurance gets a rate of 4.5/5. This is absurd, this company will charge you for 4 to 6 months if you are moving your insurance to another company. They will force or can say, trick you to use a cheap shop of they choice even though it is prohibited by the local law. All of them are the same but Liberty Mutual is the worse.

Premium paid a year in advance, no claims, yet the following year's premium was 40 % higher than the previous year. Appears that they quote low rates for the first year in order to sucker you in for the following years ! Beware of this company !

Filed a claim for roof damage after a Tornado came through & destroyed my barn & numerous trees right around my house, along with serious damage to my vehicles parked beside the house at the time. Fortunately my auto insurance was with a different company & they have already been fixed. But Liberty Mutual has so far denied & delayed my claim! Tornado was on June 14th. This is November 10th. They have basically accused me of trying to defraud them & called my agent a liar. If I could give them a Negative Rating it would be Negative Five Stars!

this is the worst company my wife tried to get insurance and they turned her down they got so big now they turn people down this company is very greedy hey only treat people this way cause some stupid ass law you have to have insurance thats why they treat you the way they do.....but all shit comes back

Worst company ever. Say things are covered and then saying it is not. I spend $630 per month on a car, truck with 254000 mikes, and a fifth-wheel camper. I am looking for other insurance as we speak. Dr. Wade Bridges

I was just informed that Liberty Mutual is canceling one of my auto policies due to the fact that we filed two claims last year. One claim was the result of a deer hitting our car in the area of the fuse box on the driver’s side of the car; totaling the car. The other claim was due to my husband’s car being hit by a gentleman who was entirely at fault (admitted and subrogated). We did not receive surcharges. We have a total of five polices with Liberty; two Auto, one Home Owner’s, one Fire Policy (on rental property), and an Umbrella Policy for Liability (additional coverage on car and property). My house insurance was increased from $120/month (2022) to $195/month (2023) and despite multiple emails to my agent, I have not been able to get an answer for this massive increase. I realize that prices go up but this is way too excessive. Looks like I don't retire anytime soon.....

To me they are the worst. The TV comercial with the stupid guy with the ridiculous bird and the propaganda that you pay for what you need is a bunch of that.... I hate them. I do not have no even a claim, my roof leaked and I fixed myself, I pay from my pocket , I did not feel like wait for them, I have a water heater exploded in the basement and I have damage but I never call just fixed myself because I did not want to hear that that was not cover, However my homeowner insurance increased every year. We have been with Liberty Mutual for over 30 years. No claims on home. Recently, damage to our roof. Upon putting a claim in, we found out that Liberty without notice had changed the wording (via 3letter acronym) to completely change our coverage. This was done at our prior renewal . Without any notice. Just slipped in. The small acronym changed the full replacement cost to a prorated amount according to the age of the roof. We have since found out Liberty Mutual have been doing this to a great deal of their customers. Looking for replacement home insurance!

liberty mutual is the worse home insurance company that people should stay away from! when first started with this company, the quote i got appeared to be low/ cheap but they kept on raising the price before i even noticed it. In 5 years, the insurance went from a $1100+ to over $3,000. i recently had some pipe leaking from the room going down the basement, causing major damages everywhere. the adjuster had to inspect the home twice, sending other inspectors as well as other vendors at the scene. If I could give a zero I would. Liberty Mutual is not a company you want to use for insurance coverage. We were with them for many years and NEVER filed a claim. The one and only claim we filed was for a very bad storms that caused a lot of damage in our subdivision. Almost everyone in Our subdivision had their roofs replaced 100% covered.Liberty mutual refused to cover ours saying there was no damage! After weeks of going thru the ranks to upper management we were told they would only cover the front of our home. We had a 93 square roof of which they wanted to cover very little. Liberty Mutual has been the worst experience I have had, with any insurance company. Got into a car accident, which was not our fault. Our agent from liberty, that handled our claim was rude and not very helpful. Never responded and took forever to get the ball rolling with the claim. Once our vehicle was deemed as totaled, Liberty wanted the rental back the next day, leaving us with NO vehicle. We figured we could buy a car quickly because they paid off our totaled vehicle…. Liberty Mutual denied roof claim that was obviously very damaged --adjuster was quite inexperienced and unprofessional --- wind, hail , rain damage that their adjuster said was normal wear and tear ---I give them minus 3 stars

Terrible company. Last year Liberty Mutual assets increased about $1,000,000,000,000 ($1 billion), but LM don’t want to pay for claims. Liberty Mutual under new management is not the same great company. A few years ago a fire and water damaged my commercial building. I had a full building coverage and policy included lost of the rent. Experts opinion and contractor estimates $250,000 damages. On the top of this I am loosing $24,000/year rent from my tenant and every year expenses of temporary repairs to prevent more damages and property taxes. LM refunded me approximately $13,000. Horrible claims service. Epic rains from multiple storms and hurricanes have passed over our area. Our roof was impacted and is leaking in multiple locations. I submitted claims online per instructions. I've uploaded comments, pictures, and even a quote for repairs from a local roofer. I am now nearly 60 days into this process and Liberty Mutual has yet to send an inspector.

Liberty Mutual insurance is expensive and not good at covering damages. in recent Texas storm and freeze they rejected both our roof and house floor damages, we have been hopping and jumping all over the house for 5 month with discomfort due to the buckled floors from Texas freeze and waiting to get some help from Liberty Mutual, after 5 month waiting they rejected our claims, I assumed that with expensive premiums they are charging they would provide better coverage and customer service, not so. don't fall for their stupide and cheep bird commercial running on TV hundred times a day. Please stay away.

Don't ever call them ever! They will make a claim against you even if there is not one. We had them come out and inspect our roof because of storms. They said sure. Our roof was perfect and that was it. We got hit with a claim against us and there was no claim. They never told us this was a claim against us in 2018. It is now 2021 and we just found out through Lexis Nexis that this "claim" is on our record for 5 YEARS. I feel this is fraud on the part of Liberty Mutual to jack up our home owners ins. Purely Fraud on their part. All they say is that this is their policy. They deserve no stars!!!!

On 15 November a drunk driver insured by Liberty Mutual hit my home, doing extensive damage to my garage and both cars. The garage is unusable due to damage (both garage doors torn off, sagging roof, bowed out wall, etc.). Their agent has refused to authorize any repairs on my vehicle until I obtain an estimate for the garage. It has been exceedingly difficult to find a general contractor due to the pandemic and that they are already behind schedule for existing projects. Given the auto damages for my vehicle are well within the amount of their client’s coverage there is no excuse for their refusal to authorize repairs. Worst company ever!! The first claim we filed was denied because of a depreciation clause. We increased our premiums to lower the deductible to ensure we would be covered appropriately. Customer service representative assured us that this will prevent future denials in the event of another storm. Here we are 2 years later with the same issue, yet another denial. So basically you took my money and when I need you the most, you find every excuse to deny me again. They won't get a 3rd opportunity. Stay away from Liberty Mutual. We learned the hard way.

Bad company. They take your money and ask you to pay everything by yourself when your house has a problem. My 30-yr old roof was damaged by wind, and they insisted on it is reparable. And with the $2K deduction, the repair fee is all on my own. My roof contractor told me my roof should be replaced. But this horrible insurance company kept saying the roof just need a repair. My roofer tried and the old shingles broke. Then the company said "see, this is the damage created by your roofer". They just do not want to take a penny out of their pocket.
