ABOUT THIS CARD

Wells Fargo is a major retail bank, but it’s also trying to create more competitive reward cards. To do so, it’s offering 20,000 bonus points after spending $1,000 within three months of account opening. You also earn 3x points on lots of common expenses such as eating out and ordering in, buying gas, paying for rideshares, and even transit. And when traveling you’ll earn the same 3x whenever you pay for your flights, hotels, homestays, and car rentals. You even earn 3x when paying for popular streaming services.

The Wells Fargo Go Far Rewards program offers you ways to redeem your points for gift cards, travel reservations, merchandise and even charitable donations, with points worth up to one cent each. This card has no annual fees, and no foreign transaction fees either. You also receive benefits such extended warranty coverage, damage and theft protection, cell phone protection and access to your FICO credit score.

All theses features make it a great card for current Wells Fargo customers who want to manage their accounts under one login, and still earn competitive rewards. And because this rewards program is pretty simple and has many bonus categories, it’s idea for people with a wide variety of lifestyles.

4 things informed consumers need to know:
  1. Get enough credit cards to keep the balance on each one below 30% of its limit.
  2. Pay on time, use cards sparingly and keep your accounts open.
  3. Don’t apply for too many cards at once. Do 1 today, again in 6 months, etc.
  4. More cards mean a wider variety of points and benefits.
