ABOUT THIS CARD

When you pay your credit card balance in full every month, then you should be trying to earn the most valuable rewards possible. If this sounds like you, then the PNC Cash Rewards® Visa® Credit Card can be a good choice. It offers you 4% cash back at gas stations, 3% back on dining and 2% back at grocery stores. You earn 1% cash back on all other purchases, and the bonus rates are only valid on your first $8,000 in combined purchase each month. You can redeem your cash back any time you’ve earned at least $25 of it, but your cash back never expires so long as your account is open.

This card also rewards new customers in two ways. First, you can earn a $100 cash bonus after spending $1,000 on new purchases within three months of account opening. You also receive 12 months of 0% APR financing on balance transfers, with a 3% balance transfer fee for the first 12 months (4% after that).

This card is compatible with all of the latest mobile wallet and contactless payment technologies. There’s no annual fee for this card, but there is a 3% foreign transaction fee.

4 things informed consumers need to know:
  1. Get enough credit cards to keep the balance on each one below 30% of its limit.
  2. Pay on time, use cards sparingly and keep your accounts open.
  3. Don’t apply for too many cards at once. Do 1 today, again in 6 months, etc.
  4. More cards mean a wider variety of points and benefits.
