Fans of Marriott hotels will appreciate this premium card for both its rewards and its cardholder benefits. New applicants can earn 75,000 bonus points after making $3,000 in eligible purchases within three months of account opening. Cardmembership also comes with complimentary Platinum Elite status for the 2021 status year.

When you use your card, you’ll earn 6X Marriott Bonvoy points at participating properties, plus 3X points at U.S. restaurants and on flights booked directly with airlines and earn double points on all other eligible purchases.

Additional benefits include up to $300 Marriott Bonvoy Statement Credit towards charges at Marriott properties and a free night award every year after your account anniversary that can be used for one night stay (at redemption levels at or under 50,000 points).

This card also comes with a Priority Pass Select airport lounge membership and a $100 application fee credit for the Global Entry or TSA PreCheck programs. You also receive baggage insurance, trip cancellation and interruption coverage and a trip delay policy. There’s a $450 annual fee for this card, and no foreign transaction fees.

  1. Get enough credit cards to keep the balance on each one below 30% of its limit.
  2. Pay on time, use cards sparingly and keep your accounts open.
