ABOUT THIS CARD

This premium travel rewards credit card is ideal for anyone who travels frequently or even regularly.  It offers you three Ultimate Rewards points for each dollar spent on all travel and dining expenses, and one point per dollar spent elsewhere. In fact, Chase’s definition of travel spending even includes things like rideshares, parking and tolls. You can even earn 50,000 bonus points when you use your card to spend $4,000 within three months of account opening.

When it comes time to redeem your Ultimate Rewards points, these points are worth one cent each as cash back, gift cards or for some merchandise options. These points are also worth 1.5 cents each towards travel, or you can transfer them to miles with nine airlines including United, Southwest, JetBlue,  British Airways and Singapore. You can also transfer your rewards to points with Hyatt, Marriott and IHG hotels.

This card also comes with numerous benefits including a $120 credit towards Doordash and a Doorpass subscription. You also receive a $300 a year annual travel credit, a Priority Pass Select airport lounge membership and a $100 credit towards Global Entry or TSA PreCheck. There’s a $550 annual fee for this card.

4 things informed consumers need to know:
  1. Get enough credit cards to keep the balance on each one below 30% of its limit.
  2. Pay on time, use cards sparingly and keep your accounts open.
  3. Don’t apply for too many cards at once. Do 1 today, again in 6 months, etc.
  4. More cards mean a wider variety of points and benefits.
