ABOUT THIS CARD

This is the one card that can offer you as much as 6% cash back on some purchases, while still earning a strong 3% back on other popular bonus categories. Cardholders can earn that 6% back at U.S. supermarkets and on select U.S. streaming subscriptions such as Netflix, Hulu, and Spotify. The 6% cash back is limited to your first $6,000 spent each calendar year, then you earn 1%. You also earn unlimited 3% cash back at U.S. gas stations and on transit including rideshare, parking, tolls, and public transportation. And like most cards that offer bonus cash back, you only earn 1% on all other purchases.

And although this card has a $95 annual fee, you wont pay an annual fee the first year. Cardholders can earn 20% back on Amazon.com purchases on the Card within the first 6 months of card membership, up to $200 back. Plus, earn an additional $150 back after you spend $3,000 in purchases on the card within the first 6 months of card membership (received in the form of statement credits). It also offers 12 months of introductory 0% APR financing on purchases and then 13.99% - 23.99% Variable APR after.

All of these offers make this the right card for those who want to earn the maximum cash back available at supermarkets and streaming services, and don’t mind paying a reasonable annual fee. Once you add up the value of all of its cash back offers, you’ll know if it’s the right card for you.

4 things informed consumers need to know:
  1. Get enough credit cards to keep the balance on each one below 30% of its limit.
  2. Pay on time, use cards sparingly and keep your accounts open.
  3. Don’t apply for too many cards at once. Do 1 today, again in 6 months, etc.
  4. More cards mean a wider variety of points and benefits.
