New customers will earn 20% back on Amazon.com purchases made within the first 6 months of Card membership (up to $150 back). Plus, earn up to $100 back (as a statement credit) after spending $2,000 in purchases within first 6 months of Card Membership.

This card also offers you 3% cash back at U.S. supermarkets, on up to $6,000 spent each year (then 1% after). You also earn unlimited 2% cash back at U.S. gas stations and at select U.S. department stores. Eligible stores include Bloomingdales, J.C. Penney, Kohl’s, Macy’s, Saks Fifth Avenue and others. You also earn 1% cash back on all other purchases. This card gives you 15 months of 0% intro APR on new purchases, giving you some extra time to pay off your balance before incurring interest charges. After that the on-going APR is 13.99%-23.99% Variable on purchases. And most importantly, you get all these benefits without having to pay an annual fee.

4 things informed consumers need to know:
  1. Get enough credit cards to keep the balance on each one below 30% of its limit.
  2. Pay on time, use cards sparingly and keep your accounts open.
  3. Don’t apply for too many cards at once. Do 1 today, again in 6 months, etc.
  4. More cards mean a wider variety of points and benefits.
