We have been a customer for 20 yrs. When we called for phone tech support our tech had to call in for help causing him to be here several hours and bill us. No hold music unless i supplied a MP3 file myself. a Contract was mandatory, and the phones are never updated. We took on an equity investor and they wanted us on their phone system to simplify things. NO choice. ESI would not waive the early term fee. BEWARE. Much better companies to work with that do not hold you hostage after a 20 relationship
Our school adopted this system to save money in Feb. 2019. It has been abysmal. Many problems such as dropped calls, static on calls, calls that just start to ring in your ear, terrible latency... I have been documenting and trying to work with customer service for 3 years now and have gotten nowhere! I document and send them my documentation and they don't reply. When I contact them again they want documentation, which I already sent!!!! They are unprofessional and they make our school look unprofessional for using such a poor product with such poor functionality. I have given up on a normal working phone system at this point. We need to look at other systems.

Once the material terms of the service agreement are altered and it hits the website, you have only 15 days to terminate your contract or you automatically agree with whatever changes ESI decides to make. Yes. This is really how they do business. DO... Read More
The on-premise system nails it! Everything was made simple and the price is right.
ESI phones and software are mostly abandoned. The installers have to call around to find parts, the documentation is shoddy at best, if it's not labeled "Old" as they label their websites on premise PBX systems. The local PBX systems do not get updates, looks like the last update was in 2012.... They release new cordless phones, ESI Cordless 3, no documentation online but you can buy it thru a vendor. Who then has no software to set it up, ESI support says use ESI Cordless 2 Software, and then manually program the phones names and locations in, along with the numbers... Upgrades are overly expensive, support is web forum based from users mostly and even then, so few exist anymore. They... Read More
