Horrible customer service and the product is only getting worse over time. I have ordered 16 shutters from them over 5 separate orders during the last two years. A recent order late last year came with parts missing and getting replacement parts was a hassle because I had to provide pictures. How do you provide pictures of missing parts? My most recent order arrived without the mounting strips and blocking strips being pre-drilled. I received the screws and screw covers but no holes for them. After multiple back and forth with "Angie" from customer service I was forwarded a poorly spelled response from their supplier stating "usually" they don't pre-drill holes. Usually? Horrible customer service and they should fire their freight company Pilot!- Use to love them but something has changed and we will never order from them again! We ordered (1) set of vertical blinds to test for color and quality with the intention of ordering (3) more sets. After promising that our order would be made and shipped within 5 days, we then received several emails letting us know our order was delayed by a month. HORRIBLE CUSTOMER SERIVCE- DO NOT DO BUSINESS WITH BLINDS GALORE- THIS COMPANY SOLD DEFECTIVE BLINDS. IT HAS TAKEN THREE MONTHS FOR THIS COMPANY TO REPOND TO AN ONGOING BLIND ORDER. FINALLY, THE BLINDS WERE DETERMINED DEFECTIVE FROM THE MANUFACTURER. BLINDS GALORE RECEIVED A REFUND FROM THE MANUFACTURER BUT WON’T PASS ON THE REFUND TO THE CUSTOMER. I’d give it no stars if possible. Customer service is terrible and they claim you can’t talk directly to a rep from the company. They will only EXCHANGE a product, not give you a refund. DO NOT DO BUSINESS WITH THIS COMPANY!!
Horrible - purchased shutters for windows and bifold shutter doors for sliders downstairs. Poor quality, missing parts, bi-fold doors were not designed per option, and no instructions. On top of all this, customer service was way below par. They do not return calls or emails. The I received mail from "Lead Customer Service Manager" by the name of Cynthia, stating she was very concerned and wanted to know how she could help. I responded by telling her to send me hardware for our bi-fold doors so we can use them. She never responded. I highly recommend Blinds.com. Same price, much better quality, and CS is exceptional. would not recommend buying anything from this place
Very disappointed in purchase of my blind. Not inexpensive, and after about two years, many brown spots have appeared. These are not stains on the outside, but are apparently from the adhesive used to glue the fabric to the vinyl. Contacted the company as I thought it would be covered by their 3 year warranty, but they will not replace. A shade should last more than 2 years. Will not purchase from this company again.
I ordered some custom width cellular shades from Blindsgalore in anticipation of another winter cold this year. They arrived in less than a week in good packaging, perfectly sized to my specifications, were extremely straightforward to install, and look/work perfect. I had ordered blinds before from other companies that I trust (Select Blinds gave me beautiful Venetian blinds for my other room) but decided to give Blindsgalore a shot because they had double cell shades in the color I was looking for at a much more reasonable price than anywhere else so I couldn't say no, and I'm glad I didn't. I ordered Coolaroo sunshades through them and they were sent half-opened, damaged and with the wrong cord length. I've made several calls and had emails with customer service trying to get a replacement. They say they'll send a replacement and I can donate the damaged blinds but I've been waiting over a month and they have yet to ship out replacement blinds. I don't believe they ever intended to ship out a replacement. They are dishonest and poorly run. I would go anywhere else but these guys for your blinds needs. I wish I'd checked online reviews before I placed my order. Seems like this is the norm for them. Do not waste your time and money purchasing from them.
Yeah, it's amazing anything came. Got some verticals through a designer and they're turnaround is... I don't know- LONG. Plus they were more than a week late. So called and sat on hold for 35 minutes. Then some stoned guy answered and everytime I started talking I think he put the phone down.II asked a few questions and he said "...what...". I asked IS this a company? Do you work for a company there. He finally asked if I wanted to talk to technical support (I seriously doubt there is such a thing there) so he put me on hold- another 15 minutes. Update to a review I left about Collaroo outdoor shades. We bought 15% openess which allowed tons of sun to still come in. After talking with Blindsgalore they offered to send shades with 5% openess if we donate our new shades to Habitat for Humanity. WOW! Fabulous company to work with. We thought we would have to live with shades that allowed too much sun in. Now we will get the blinds best suited for us for merely making a donation of the other blinds to Habitat. But the bottom line of course is, don't buy 15% openess unless you do not need sun shade as much as we do.
Pros and Cons: First, the pros. We carefully measured ourselves, called with measurements and received excellent hep determining sizes exactly. We ordered three custom size Coolaroo outdoor shades. They were easy to install and fit exactly as hoped. They look good.
On the downside: These Coolaroo said 15% openess. Which we thought meant 85% sunblock. DO NOT BELIEVE IT! We have direct sunlight in the early evening. And the sun still shines through so brightly that it has made our custom fit shades almost useless. Each shade cost just under $200.00 each. So we spent almost $600.00 for shades that are not doing the trick for us.
I run a business. I ordered from blinds galore on 4-14-21. I called looking for my blinds on 5-3-21. The very nice customer service person stated there was a delay on my blinds due to a note from the manufacturer to blinds galore that they apparently did not answer in a timely manor. The blinds have not been made. they will not arrive within the 30 day window I had before the new tenant moves in. They were 3-5 day blinds so I expected them in 7-10 days. They could not get it done in 30 days. Don't believe their time estimates. I now have an emergency created by Blinds Galore that there is no excuse for. Just poor business management. I ordered Dove colored blinds, my blinds came with a white head rail, that's ok the valance covers it, Dove blinds, Dove push button on the bottom rail, dove end caps on the bottom rail and a white bottom rail?? When I enquired I was told its engineered that way, they never told me at any point the bottom rail would be white!
I called Levolor directly they were the same took no responsibility for their design or the fact they are misleading people.
I have ordered several times from Blinds Galore and they carry quality products and they are prompt with their orders. One time they made an error on my order the blind was not what we ordered. They called their manufacture and had the error corrected immediately without any charge for redoing the blind or the shipping of the correct blind. I also needed help with choosing a color and when I called they were able to help me immediately. I worked with employees both times and they were very accommodating and had all the answers for me to correct any issues that I had. Con artists that will ship you expensive garbage and ghost you. All my blinds were the wrong size and damaged to boot. Don't expect your 1/8 inch accurate measurements to be followed, mine were off by several inches and pairs didn't match. Absolute garbage with no return policy buyer beware, they don't keep their word.
If I could give zero stars, I would. First, it was taking forever to get my order. When I looked at my order, they somehow had the wrong address (my former address from five years ago), so I contacted them to change the address. They assured me that the address was changed. A couple of weeks later, I was notified via email that my order was delivered but when I checked my front door it wasn't there, so I went to my old address, 30 minutes away and got lucky that the owner was there and had received my order. Horrible company! DO NOT BUY.
They have the worst support, and their website has inaccurate information about their products, about shipping dates, and order statuses.
I waited over 2 months to get blinds that were supposed to take 30 days to arrive. After that they forgot to include mounting equipment so I had to wait another 2 weeks. Beyond that, ehe blinds they sold me were unusable and they refused to do a refund of any kind. Their support was unresponsive and kept giving me canned, generic answers and not actually solving any problems. They admitted that the blinds were faulty, and yet did not want to do anything about it.
Do yourself a favor and get your blinds somewhere else.
Ordered 2 pleated blinds 7/13/2020 based on price, reviews and the estimated delivery of 7/28/2020. When there was no update on status, I called 7/31/2020 to be told "because of COVID our manufacturer is only running at 85%". They knew that on 7/13 but still gave the 28th estimate. The next day I received a notice the delivery had been rescheduled for 8/13/20. They were for an RV which was to leave on a cross-country trip on the 13th. I asked that the blinds be delivered by the 12th by express delivery. NO answer. Ordered 6/8. My credit card was billed one week later. On 7/29, was told they were only 1 week, 2 days late, transferred to customer service. Held 30 minutes! , no exaggeration - they never answered. Checked order status online 7/30, would ship on 09/01. Terrible customer service! I’m cancelling the order.
I have owned a number of homes and consequently have ordered a variety of furnishings from a variety of vendors and if Blindsgalore isn't the worst one, it is a close second. I urge everyone to refer to BBB before ordering from Blindsgalore. Case: Blindsgalore failed to include all necessary mounting brackets with my order and after numerous attempts to get them to respond, after 2 weeks, I still have $1,200 of shades lying on my porch floor. If you do make the mistake to order from this basement operation, pray you that receive a complete and well-produced order, because their QA and customer support is simply horrendous. UNABLE TO GET IN TOUCH WITH CUSTOMER SERVICE!
After i placed my order online. i had a question regarding Alexa/Google compatibility. I tried to contact customer service via email, it has been a week, no response or acknowledgment. I tried to request a contact on line, it has been a week, no one contact me. I tried to call, was on hold for 25 mins, someone picked up the phone, did not answered my question and immediately transferred my call and i was on hold again.... I m concerning that if there is an issue with my order i won't be able to resolve my order in a timely manner. What is a first time customer's nightmare.
Made a big mistake with Blinds Galore - we called to see where our blinds were and they would never return a call. We received blinds (4 of the same blinds) with missing pieces - should not have been a hard order to fill. Called about the missing pieces but we have never received them. Also found out that you are NOT dealing with Blinds Galore once your order is received. The website gives you the impression that Blinds Galore is there for you. I am at this moment, an hour and a half on hold with no answer. This is my fourth attempt to get ANY response to faulty shades that I spent hundreds on. One week after installation, they stopped rolling up and one of them got contractions in the fabric that won't come out and look terrible. The first phone call (one month ago), I was given a customer service representative who told me to send a photo of the problem to her email. I did so. I followed up a week later. No response at any time. There's an option for a callback on the hold line, but I have ZERO confidence that they will ever respond to me, as they didn't ever respond to the emails.
