I forgot to put in my promotional code to get my 40% discount (they always have a promotion going on). I only noticed after I got my credit card bill, so it was a bit later, but, as I said, they ALWAYS have a 40-45% discount going on. They wouldn't honor any promotional discount when I called back and asked. Wouldn't even give me store credit. Disappointed in customer care.
Ordered off there website, gave exact length and height measurements of what I wanted as they asked and shade came over a half inch short on width. Customer service states I should of known that manufacturer will cut a half inch short from what you order! What?? No where on the website does it state to ADD A HALF INCH TO YOUR MEASUREMENTS. Have bought over the years many times from American Blinds but this last time I was sick with covid and was in the hospital for over a month not expecting to make it. Right before I got sick I did an online order for Premier Composite Shutters and so while I was sick the blinds came and sat un opened on my garage. So now I’m just opening them and two of the three window shudders I ordered are a completely wrong size. I am looking at my measurements and the only thing I can think of somehow my numbers got transposed in their system. American Blinds does not offer good customer service, shipping details/shipping companies or warranty/refunds. I would not recommend this Bind Company to anyone!

Have had nothing but problems with this company, Ordered samples and paid for expedited shipping. Did not happen. So I placed an order hoping against hope that it would be fine. Received an email of confirmation of order only to see and incorrect measurement for 2 of the blinds Have chatted with "live representative" and have been given all this reassurance of new emails that would confirm a resolution of issues. Never happened. Then I start getting sites to checkout my order only to discover that all of these blinds and shades sites are all connected. Terrible. Ordered blinds in April, 2021 but didn't receive until July, 2021. Then one blind was shorter than the other (specified to be the same). Only way to contact is by phone. Called 3 times and left number on 3 consecutive days. No reply. Will never order anything from American Blinds again.
I gave American Blinds a fair shot and resisted leaving a negative review for a long time. However, I would not recommend their products based on my experience. We ordered nine sets of woven wooden blinds for our home in 2018, and they began breaking in 2019. Parts in more than half of the blinds had to be replaced within with 1-2 years of purchasing them. Fixing the blinds and advocating for ourselves with customer service through numerous phone calls and emails has been tedious and exhausting. Now that three more blinds are malfunctioning (strings snapping on cordless blinds that no longer retract but just hang, cheap plastic parts breaking on larger sets of blinds, etc.). I am again... I do NOT recommend ordering from this company. I ordered 5 wood blinds using the exact measurements of the old blinds that we want to replace. When I received the new blinds, I found that the width of each blind is1/2 inch shorter than what I ordered. The new blinds let in too much light, and the brackets that American Blinds sent with the new blinds don't work because the blinds are too narrow to fit into the brackets. An American Blinds representative refused to replace the blinds; she said that I should have followed the measuring instructions on the website. I ordered blinds for my new house. It was a large order and we were rushed. We were off on some of the measurements as a result of this. AmericanBlinds offered us a discount and did not back their satisfaction guarantee. Be aware of the loop holes.
Also note these are manufactured in China. Not so American Blinds... they will take awhile to get delivered to you.
American Blinds overcharged me. I ordered eight blinds in one order during a buy one get one free sale. Instead of doing a cascading system of higher priced items being the partner with the next lower priced blind, they charged for all of the most expensive blinds and then gave me the the rest of the least expensive as the "free" blinds. If I had broken the order up into four different orders of pairs of blinds with this approach, I would have saved over $140 for the order. This doesn't make sense nor is it good business practice, nor is it spelled out anywhere about the way the sale is supposed to work. I ordered 5 blinds for my windows and 1 vert for my slider. The website is very vague and doesn't ask some questions that are important. I received 3 different lengths on the rods, some 12" long, 1 that was 30" and another 40" long. The website doesn't ask me how long I wanted them or that I even had an option. Also the blinds are getting mounting inside the window frame but they sent the long mounts for the valance and I needed the short mounts. After calling customer service they said the short mounts are recalled due to child safety? Still don't under stand that one.
I really wish I could give 20 stars!!!!! We have been ordering from American Blinds for years, from Arizona to Colorado to Texas and they have never let us down! They have fantastic products, selection and prices!
This morning we placed another order and Ms. Rose Burns helped us, wow...not only was she knowledgeable and professional she was so personable! She sourced out a color to match our previous blinds and sent us a perfect picture of the comparisons, she was spot on!

Very cheap quality. I ordered 7 faux wood blinds - there are 4 cords to lift/lower each blind. To get the blind to go up/down equally you have to try and keep all 4 cords together - very hard to due. Side valances are cut too short and valance clips are not strong enough to properly hold up valance. Spoke with customer service and they were supposed to call back - NEVER DID. We left numerous messages for this person and they refused to follow up. I would NEVER purchase from AmericanBlinds again.

I ordered blackout roller shades from American Blinds was delayed shipment twice (one month each) and was provided with little to no status updates outside of the monthly delay notification. When attempting to call customer service, I had an incredibly frustrating time getting on the phone with a representative. In addition, once I finally received my products yesterday, they did not roll up correctly, the fabric on my valences appears to be frayed/stained, and were poorly packaged with little to no cushioning to protect my purchase. WARNING TO ALL.....DO NOT PURCHASE BLINDS FROM THIS COMPANY. They deceptively call themselves American Blinds but all of their products are manufactured and shipped from Hong Kong. Customer service is non-existent. It takes hours to contact them. You are either put on hold for HOURS or can leave your number and they are supposed to call you back HOURS later. They blame everything on COVID but yet their reps are working from home so it is likely just another deceptive way to trick you. When I finally received the blind 8 weeks later I couldn’t believe it. This company has stopped accepting phone calls for any customer service. I have an issue with one of their blinds and need to speak with them, but the message when you dial the customer service number is that due to COVID they aren’t taking any customer service phone calls today. I hav called them for 3 days now and the same message is given. This is really frustrating and phone service shouldn’t be affected by COVID. I would not recommend using this company for your blind order.
Blinds were ordered for 1 bedroom window June 29 with a delivery date in 4 weeks. 7 weeks later, Aug 12, blinds are still "being made" according to the website. I cannot get a real person on the phone. New delivery date 2 months after order of Sept 3. according to website. Is someone walking them to my house from halfway around the world?
I don't believe anything this company says.
I ordered Levolor plantation shutters from American Blinds and received them very timely. When we hung the shutters, they STUNK. So bad it makes us nauseous and headaches. I called them and they said to clean them with soap and water. I cleaned them every way I could and they still stink. Called American Blinds back and they had Levolor remake the shutters. I received them today (took 3 weeks, not expedited as requested) and they only remade 2 of the 3. Called again, and their response is we will make the 3rd and send to you. No offer of refund for the goof-up or try to make anything better. GO SOMEWHERE ELSE TO BUY YOUR PRODUCT
We placed an order for sliding panel covers for our sliders. We followed the exact measuring instructions. The order arrived on January 26, 2020 and we hung them up on January 29, 2020, we found that they were way too narrow for our sliders. Inside mount, there are gaps on each side, 1.5" and 1 3/4", they looked terrible. On January 29, 2020, we contacted customer service and after a long conversation, remeasuring everything and sending photos, they shipped a replacement order to us. We ordered a second set of blinds after dropping almost 1K on a first set of blinds for out entire house. Thinking they would be as great as the first we jumped right in. Well, shame on us. We ordered two sets of 2" wood blinds Legacy collection in Golden Oak. There is nothing golden about this stain. It is red, real red and actually looks nothing like the picture on the website. I chose American Blinds based on their customer service rating, pricing, and the process of eliminating other companies. I asked that the top down/bottom up cord be placed on the right side because my bedroom is so small that trying to use the mechanism on the left would require that I stand on the bed which is awkward but also impossible for me as I am 58. I was told that this could be done, with "both cords" being on the right for the one of two shades--the one going directly over my bed, but when the blinds arrived, the top down/bottom up was placed in its standard "left" position.
