It appears that Lincoln Annuities (variable) are scheduled to loose principle. They hope to convince you that the distribution amounts of your principle is okay. In 15 years $150K became $125K and $75K became $52K. Each year 6% withdrawn and base principle continued to erode each year. Yes it was guaranteed to pay a base amount if the principle dropped between 0-50%. When purchasing had hoped that the Lincoln investments could maintain 6% per year or better instead of 3-4%. Do not recommend!
